Cuántos años de atraso ha sufrido Venezuela durante esta década de destrucción.
Desde la cima de los cerros que son ciudades de zinc, cartón y desdicha, se elevan oraciones con fe: "No nos abandones, Dios mío", es el recurso en el que se refugian los habitantes sin más opción que seguir allí mismo, en el barrio, donde Dios, rondan también los mismos espacios de la miseria y el dolor.
Señor Dios: se te pide que tu mano santa haga justicia. La justicia que está latente en el sentimiento venezolano que ama a sus semejantes, que no anida resentimientos en su alma, ni destruye todo lo bueno, necesario y útil que con esfuerzo, trabajo y dedicación fuimos capaces de construir para acercarnos a la modernidad, y desterrar de todos los lugares del país, enfermedades que diezmaban a la población en general, sobre todo a los más débiles.
Pero ahora, Dios del cielo y la tierra, estas enfermedades vencidas por el hombre de manos con la ciencia en beneficio de la humanidad, por el aventurerismo y la ignorancia, han regresado a nuestro país cuando una inmensa fortuna se ha despilfarrado de manera vil y antihumana. Sí, antihumana, por el daño causado a la población. Por eso y muchas cosas más, te pedimos que en virtud de tu inmenso poder divino se haga justicia en esta tierra tuya y de la Virgen, para que impere la salud, la convivencia social y la paz.
Cuántos años de atraso ha sufrido Venezuela durante esta década de destrucción y perversidad arrogante. Es incuantificable el daño causado al pueblo venezolano desde finales del siglo veinte hasta el presente. Dios, ante este drama en que estamos envueltos todos tus hijos, refuerza nuestros valores espirituales y afirma las convicciones democráticas de los venezolanos para salir avante en esta lucha por la libertad. Para la prosperidad en justa valoración a los sentimientos más elevados que se anidan en nuestro espíritu y que la paz reine en esta tierra bendita y generosa.
